Labyrinthian Terror Returns as ‘Monstrum 2’ Enters Early Access This Month!

Labyrinthian Terror Returns as ‘Monstrum 2’ Enters Early Access This Month!

Jessica Lane January 14, 2021

The wait is almost over for Team Junkfish’s follow-up to the original Monstrum, as Monstrum 2 will head into Steam Early Access on January 28th. Featuring new monsters, new puzzles, and new procedurally-generated environments, players will have to survive the sea-stranded research facility Sparrow Lock and make it out alive.

The Early Access version of Monstrum 2 will launch with three distinct monsters, each with their own unique unique abilities and playstyle. You’ll be able to smash through walls, climb on ceilings, leap across distances, or teleport to your prey.

The trailer also reveals the first map of the game, Malacosm. Described as “a molluscan, Lovecraftian nightmare”, players can place locator traps to damage prisoners and teleport across the map, and phase through walls. You can even use the clairvoyance skill for a hint to where your prey is hiding.

Not only has Team Junkfish included a new trailer announcing the Early Access date, but the devs will be holding an Open Beta weekend on January 23-24 ahead of the launch of Monstrum 2. Simply head on over to the game’s Steam Page and sign up.
